Ayurvedic Medicine, Svastha Health
Vedic astrology, 'Jyotish' can help give a more robust understanding of one’s constitution (prakruti),
which helps us determine lifestyles and habits that are more balancing for our individual nature. Perhaps more importantly, Jyotish can illuminate health issues outlined in our charts that can guide Ayurvedic prevention and treatment.
I refer to Dr. Siva Mohan to answer questions and help diagnose when client's physical bodies are in need of balancing.
Being both a western M.D. and an Ayurvedic doctor gives Dr. Mohan a rare and significant breadth of western and eastern understanding.
My experience working with Siva is that she is extremely kind, soulful, intuitive and has the craft to intricately understand her patients' bodies, minds and spirits. I feel that those who work with her will leave feeling met, educated, and more energized. Most importantly Siva empowers and makes it easy for her patients to understand how to implement their new understandings of their health into their everyday lifestyles.

Dr. Mohan began her path to healing in neuroscience, and this sparked her interest in the mind-body connection. In Medical School and during her Public Health Masters, she focused her studies on an extension of the mind-body relationship: the effects of community, development, and culture on health behavior. For Siva, consulting in international public health seemed to revolve around a central question: How do we encourage certain health behavior in different settings around the world? “I was most interested in the process of genuinely taking people’s lives into consideration when approaching health. I believe our lifestyles and habits determine our health, and this along with my cultural heritage drew me to ayurveda.” Several years later, Dr. Mohan is fortunate to practice Ayurveda and yoga, addressing health in a personal, individualized and holistic way. Her professional goals now center on writing, lecturing, and continuing to spread the awareness of Ayurveda and how it can complement modern medicine.
